Elissa Hardy, LCSW

Focusing on the “entirety” of a person is Elissa Hardy’s mission. Everything we experience affects us on all levels: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual.

Elissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Reiki Master Teacher. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in May of 2003. Since then, she has worked in two non-profit settings, the first in Omaha and the second in Denver. In these settings she has practiced psychotherapy, as well as developed and supervised grant supported programs. The populations she has worked with include children, adolescents and adults facing issues in mental health, substance use, life transitions, grief, trauma and homelessness.

After working for three years in the mental health field, it was apparent to her that there is much more to processing the dealings of life than talking. That’s when she decided to explore additional methods of treatment, and in July of 2007 became a Reiki Master Teacher. Elissa is also trained in Emotional Freedom Technique. Combining psychotherapy with energy work is her passion, and she is excited to be branching out into practice outside of the non-profit setting. Her goal is to show people that everyone has the ability to heal as long as they believe in themselves. She is willing to work with anyone, especially those experiencing the effects of trauma and transitional life issues.

Elissa also offers Emotional Freedom Technique training classes, Reiki classes, as well as leads a Women’s Support Group.
